Need landscaping? Do it the 'Wrightway'

Have landscaping to do outside your home or business, but don’t know where to start? Consider giving Wrightway Landscaping a call.
Owner Chad Wright began mowing lawns with a friend when he was 14-years old. Now a little over a month away from his 54th birthday, he and his team offer commercial mowing, residential mowing, total landscaping, sprinkler installation and concrete installation among other services.
Founded in 1995, the Pueblo-based business has become a trusted landscaping service primarily by word of mouth. Wrightway Landscaping has even done jobs outside of Pueblo, in places like Colorado Springs, Denver, Colorado City, Walsenburg and Trinidad.
“I am still working full-time with these guys,” Wright said of working with his team. “If there is something wrong, I am on the spot. I will get there, make everything right and just make everybody happy.”
Building a reputation through a job well-done and word of mouth, Wright doesn’t do a whole lot of advertising. However, the business does have a Facebook page where before and after pictures speak for themselves.
Wrightway Landscaping turns barren dirt spaces outside homes and commercial buildings into well-watered, grassy areas. Patchy weeded areas become smooth walkways and beautiful stone arrangements.
In addition to great service, Wrightway Landscaping’s popularity in Pueblo and beyond has grown with help from two beloved mascots. For 17 years, a sweet Pekapoo named Gizmo showed up to every job site. Today, the late Gizmo’s legacy lives on through an adorable Shih-Poo named Piper.
“She looks a lot like Gizmo, just a little bit more ornery,” Wright said. “That’s how a lot of people know me—through the dog. They don’t want to see me. They’ve asked for Gizmo or Piper as soon as I show up to a job site.”
Wright didn’t mind being overshadowed by Gizmo and doesn’t mind being overshadowed by Piper. “As soon as I see her, I smile,” Wright said.
