The Woolly Planner spreads joy by making form from fluff

Whether you are a busy bee looking to add character to your daily planner, a fan of felted soaps, or simply love cute animals (especially miniatures)—The Woolly Planner is the shop for you.

Figurines, planner clips, bar soaps and other accessories from The Woolly Planner LLC are made with love and guaranteed to brighten your day! Fiber is handpicked to ensure vibrant coloring and high quality texture. Nothing is prefabricated.

Sandy Bartolo is the Pueblo-born and raised artist behind The Woolly Planner. She has been creating things since learning to crochet and knit in 4-H as a child. In adulthood, she developed an interest in wool and tried her hand at needle and wet felting.

“I was just attracted to the fact that you could take wool and mold it into something through a couple of different processes… taking fluff and making it into a form,” Bartolo said.

After learning to create figurines resembling fauna, flora, gnomes and more, Bartolo decided to share her creations with the world. She launched her Etsy shop in September 2021 and her main shop at thewoollyplanner.com soon thereafter.

The Woolly Planner’s shared universe is filled with a cast of colorful characters like Seamus the Sheep and his day-dreaming little brother Wee Tavish. There’s also Hank the flirtatious Hedgehog and his sweet, flower-loving friend Hope the Hedgehog.

Sheep and hedgehogs are joined in The Woolly Planner universe by families of garden gnomes, chickens, penguins, foxes, sloths, bumblebees and other kind souls. Customers can welcome these characters into their homes with purchase of the shop’s 100% wool planner clips.

Those who browse The Woolly Planner shop also will find clips celebrating different seasons, holidays, sweet treats and flora. They can even order a custom-made planner clip to look like their pet or a gnome sporting their favorite colors.

While planner clips make great bookmarks, felted figurines of pumpkins, cacti, mushrooms, baby penguins make perfect home decor. Economical and luxurious felted soaps are a must-have too! Lavender, lemon, peppermint, and roses are among the many scents available.

In addition to the main shop and Etsy shop, The Woolly Planner’s products can be found on the shelves of Pueblo’s Blackbox Cafe, 1437 Court Street.

The Woolly Planner also will have a booth at the 6th Annual Multicultural Festival in Mineral Palace Park on Oct. 5 starting at 11 a.m. and the 4th Annual Holiday Pop-Up & Networking Event at Pueblo Community College on Nov. 14 from 3 to 7 p.m.
